I'm on the Griots Garage mailing list and just received an email ad stating they will be at the Blackhorse Garage and there will be specials deals of their products during the event. Might be time to stock up for the summer.
yea it looks like there is a number to call on the website to reserve your spot. has anyone ever been to this place before? is it worth the hour and a half trip from brooklyn?

Thank you to the old people who put no miles on their porsches and trade them in.
The tour of the garage will be secondary for me,I'm more interested in the Griots demonstration and hopefully price breaks on their products. I just happened to get one of their catalogs today in the mail to get an idea on what I want to buy and what it costs online.
I have been unable to get the swirl marks out of my paint even using Griots #3 polish and would like to find out if I'm doing something wrong.
Being on the Griots Garage mailing list I also get emails from them and the latest email was advertising this demo at the Blackhorse Garage and a link to RSVP. Its also about an hour and a half drive for me but coming from the opposite direction. See you there...
I made it to the detailing demo and glad I went. The Griot guys were very helpful, for me an actual demonstration is always better than reading how to do it.
The cars on display, whew, what a collection. One example was a 1958 Jag that there were only 3 made and the Black horse is restoring the only one left in existence. The chassis and drivetrain were on display in one room ready and the body in another room ready for reassembly. Supposedly this car has an open invitation for Pebbles Beach when complete because of its historical significance. The attention to detail was simply amazing right down to the rivets in the frame and the amount of paint on them.
They seemed to favor British cars over others which was fine by me, I immediately fell in love with one of the Aston Martin Vanquishes. The Aston Martins were described by one of the Blackhorse staff as being the British muscle car. The model I liked the best looked an awful lot like a 69 Shelby GT 500.
Unfortunately I didn't see any Caymans in the parking lot, a few Boxsters and a couple of 911's. I was hoping to run into Pete but I don't believe he went unless it was after 1:30pm or didn't go in his CS.
I did get a gallon of Speed Shine and Wheel Cleaner as well as a towel(works great, already tried it), some spray on wax and wheel cleaning tools.
I hope they do this again next year, it was worth the drive, by the way, the Blackhorse staff use Griots products on their restorations.
Thanks for the reports Jayman. I woke up yesterday feeling like cr*p. I've been burning the candle at both ends with work and weekend stuff so the thought of a 2 hr drive wasn't doing it for me.
Good news at least, all my yardwork is complete. Thanks to Cayman events for the next two weekends, the next time it'll see a lawnmower or rake will be in May!
Hopefully we'll get to meet at Limerock Jayman.
