Nice, I think you two guys have the only red Caymans in the whole area.
Unless it is Jophus, I think there is one more red Cayman lurking somewhere near by me. My friends said they saw my car in a parking lot one time but I know it was sitting in the driveway when they saw it. And my gf said she saw my dad speeding by her but I know I had my car with me out in Bethpage the whole day. Jophus, do you come out here much? If not it must be a non-club member.
Just to be sure, Old Westbury is right around the corner from Champion, right? I'm not familiar with that area at all.
You'll be getting the honor of leading our caravan this time. Be sure to find a twisty, out of the way road, we won't mind! I'll just hang back and grab a few rolling shots of everyone. I couldn't do that with the LimeRock caravan.

Woohoo!! But don't get mad at me if I'm not driving fast enough for you guys. My parents are coming too, and they can make me CS-less if they want. But yea Champion is about 2 or 3 miles down the road. Basically its a big road, 55mph speed limit, and then about a mile on a smaller road maybe 30 or 40mph. Problem is, there really is no out of the way twisty roads to get there. Most of the roads around here a pretty boring, nothing like upstate. And just out of curiosity, do you take those pics yourself or do you have a passenger take them? I can't take pics like those even standing still..
i spend pretty much everyother sunday out in the new hyde park area. usually take a lap on old country road by the mall, golfsmith, guitar center. my uncle lives out there and i have a few friends in the area as well. my license plate is DTH TRAP and my interior is black so i guess we are fraternal twins

Thank you to the old people who put no miles on their porsches and trade them in.
delman, I only have a few shots of the rear view mirror while moving so far, but I'm not crazy enough to try anything else while driving. My camera rig is too large and bulky to use in one hand.
Don't worry about going fast, I get more of a kick seeing all the reactions to a line of Caymans on the road, althought in that neighborhood we may need a line of Lambos to draw any attention.
Accuweather.com is more optimistic than weather.com for Sunday.
That being said, we should all check-in here Sat. night to be sure.

Jophus, it must have been you spotted around here. I'll keep my eyes open for you, although wou will be kind of hard to miss.
Pete, as many Lambos as there are at Champion, I've only seen one driving around on the streets from what I can remember. It was last week too. What do people do once they buy these things??
As for the weather, I'm gonna be optimistic and think that we will have a nice weekend.
Basically get off on Exit 40W of the LIE and you'll see the dealership on the right. If you go past a HomeDepot, you've gone too far.
We'll be there between 8 and 9:30AM this Sunday if the weather holds out.

The plenum is the piece that goes between the Cayman throttle body and the intake runners. The factory piece is a long black plastic tube with a divider down the middle. There are aftermarket replacements which are designed to allow the air to flow easier/faster into the engine and increase horsepower and torque.
