Reason: Found more details on the event.
I'll see you there Pete. I didn't know Porsche drivers got in for free. That's pretty cool. Any idea if there is a good place for any of us club members to park together? I live about 5 minutes from the garden, yet have never really gone there for an event, so I'm not familiar with the layout. But anyway, looks like it will be a nice day.
Just an idea, If a bunch of people are going, we could all meet up at my high school (The Wheatley School) around 9 or 10 or whenever is good for everyone. Wheatley is right down the road from the gardens and I am pretty sure one of the parking lots would be open on Sunday. Then we could all drive in together and form a nice row of Caymans.
Porsche drivers can get into Westbury Gardens for free. Any passenger has to pay a $10 entry fee (not to PCA, but to the grounds).
If you want to show your car or compete it's $40 ($50 after 5/1).
And if you're a PCA member, $10 will get you lunch at the PCA tent.

Oh boy, do I see another mini-meet brewing here? I can only do one event this weekend so ezmoney may have to wait for our drive up to the Catskills.
Meeting at the school sounds good, it's always easier to pull in as a group and stay together.
Hey retired-teach, are you reading this? Didn't you say you're free on Sunday???
Any other members thinking of joining the group?
Pete, I'll be at the concours with my son. We can drive up in the Catskills another time. The Catskills will always be there. The Concours will only be Sunday.
I'll watch the posts to see if we will definitely meet at the school and drive together. It will be nice to show Cayman Club solidarity when we go to events!

The road highlighted between the two has a bit of potholes and patches, nothing too terrible, but just a heads up. It is nice and curvy and under lots of nice trees though, so I like it. Hopefully one of the school parking lots will be open, though sometimes it is hit or miss. But if someone wants to decide on a time, maybe someone who lives a little further away, I'll see u then.
Hey, a shout out to from a former Lon Gilander....
Old Westbury, that sure brings back memories. I grew up in East Meadow and used to do my midnight runs up Post Road in my totally awesome 1973 VW Karmann Ghia (Bilstein shocks, Fulda tires and Ansa exhaust). Ok, that was my first car back in 1975..... Thought I was fast until a Maserati blew by me like I was standing still one night....
There used to be a section of the road that right after a stop sign it had a 15 mph speed limit sign and then about 15 feet later a 45 mph sign. I always dreamed of having a car that could accelerate that quickly in that sort a distance. I think I got one finally... 33 years later.....
Say 'hi' to Old Westbury for me!
Bilstein
A corporate restructuring of August Bilstein GmbH of Ennepetal, Germany took place in 1988 with the purchase of the company by Hoesch AG. A subsequent merger of the Hoesch Group with Fried. Krupp AG in 1992 established the parent conglomerate Fried. Krupp AG Hoesch-Krupp. In 1999 Fried. Krupp AG Hoesch-Krupp merged with Thyssen AG to form ThyssenKrupp Automotive Group. Bilstein is now a wholly-owned subsidiary company of the ThyssenKrupp Automotive Group.
The group is a primary supplier to the automotive industry and, with their other subsidiaries, cover a wide spectrum of manufacturing from steel production to automation and communications technology among others. The amount of information and technology available to a company of this size is formidable and create an excellent basis for present and future product development including Bilstein suspension components.
I looked at the map and here's another suggestion.
How about we meet at Champion Motors instead before heading over? They have a large lot and should be pretty empty Sunday AM. This was the starting point of the Exotics Rally two weeks ago so there is room for our small group.
This way we can check out some of the Lambos and Bentleys on the lot while waiting for the rest of the group.
Brilliant idea!! I see enough of my high school anyway. Only 2 more months left though, wooo! There should be plenty of room for us at Champion, and the cars there (and the abundance) is just incredible.
