Installer for radio in Boston

So I'm looking for a reputable installer in the Boston area to potentially replace the CDR24 w/Bose in my 3 day old 2008 Cayman S. Anyone have any idea who can do a good job for a reasonable price?
I just called one place that I found in Boston who quoted roughly $4200 with the head unit (Alpine or similar touch screen)...

Thats alot more than I was hoping for... Someone else on here was saying they paid $2000 for theirs installed, which is alot more what I was thinking.

Thanks,
-Larry

Yeah, that was me. My 2K includes $250 for an external 5 channel amp I bought new from ebay.

Here is a link for mine: AVIC-D3 Installed With BOSE

Did you try calling your dealer and finding out who does their electronics upgrades for them?,Most of them outsource these things because they don't want to deal with these "hassles." If you fail with one, try 2-3 dealers near you, I am sure one of them is bound to point you in the right direction.

Good luck and congrats on your new car!

You may try and telling your delaer that you drive a Cayenne and want to upgrade the stereo, one dealer I talked to said there was NO way you would be able to upgrade the stereo on ANY Cayman. We all know how wrong they were on that one!

Thanks. I'm trying to gather enough information from yours and other articles on the install to try it myself. I'll call around and see who else can do it in the area...
