One of my middle runs, still slow, but stayed on course!
This will give you an idea of what an AutoX course looks like. Of course the camera is way up on the rear view mirror giving a better view of the cones.
Behind the helmet and low in the seat, the cones all seem to mesh at first.
Enjoy:

The NNJR group uses yellow cones on the left of the course. So keep the RED cone on the RIGHT is easy to remember for rookies like me.
Will you be at the Concours this Sunday??

IF that is full, you can just do the normal AutoX with them on Sunday 6/8.

I wonder what kind of tire wear goes on over the course of one auto cross day. Have you read anywhere that can put it into a miles like perspective. Since this is my daily driver and im not in the normal P car tax bracket I'm just curious about tire wear. Just curious if you or anyone else heard or read anything

Thank you to the old people who put no miles on their porsches and trade them in.
I'll be honest with you Jophus, I was horrified after my first AutoX with the G35 at how chunked my tires looked afterwards. Then again, that is also a much heavier car not meant for stuff like this.
This time around I inflated my tire pressure to +3 lbs over the recommended values on the door sticker and didn't get as much wear on the tire edges. I told you how after the last AutoX, I thought I had run over a large piece of gum somewhere, but is was just a tread block smeared across 3 inches of the tire.
Most of the time parking lot surfaces are not as smooth as road surfaces.
That being said, I think it's still worthwhile to do stuff like this a few times a year just to get a feel of the car understeering or oversteering in tight turns.
It could come in handy during an emergency maneuver on the street!

Here's my third run of the day, I went off course on the slalom, can you spot it?
