Good catch LA Boy! It does look like a bird sticker on it!

That type of bird eats in a very interesting way. It flies around at maybe 150 to 200 feet above the ground, and when it spots an insect below, it dive bombs straight toward the ground, snatches the insect in mid flight, and then pulls up just a few feet above the ground. As it pulls up just before hitting the ground it makes a funny sound--it sounds just like someone "passing gas" loudly. It must be the wing feathers sort of fluttering as it quickly changes direction. You must have caught the bird just as he was pulling up from diving for an insect. Very neat picture!
Thanks Boxer_Ben. You have some great shots in your album too!

Beautiful shots Pete! I arrived a little later in the morning and shot a bunch of detail and abstract pics (trying to avoid lawn chair and leg reflections in the cars as the folks milled about ). It was a wonderful display of contemporary and vintage Porsches and a very nice event in general (IMHO).

Pete,
Great shots! Hope to be joining you guys soon. I'm going to stop by the dealer today and see if I can get a fix on my delivery date. Till then... keep those photos comming!
I could be wrong, but in 2005 Porsche made a limited run of 997's with the frist X51 package celebrate the 50th Anniversery of the PCA in America. I think there were only 50 made and offered by lottery to PCA members. It was called the 911 Club Coupe.
Can someone confirm? I wasn't immersed in Porsche stuff yet 3 years ago.
