Great pictures Pete! I was really hoping to attend. I left my apartment in Brooklyn shortly before 9:30 figuring I would meet everyone at the track. Unfortunately, the first 2 1/2 hours were spent in traffic jams. Three or four accidents (I lost count!) and road painting, all conspried to test my patience. In anycase, I made it to Lime Rock at 1:15!!! Not a Cayman in sight except for the Skip Barber instructional cars.

I decided to make the best of it solo. I watched the few cars that remained take some laps. There was a black 911 GT3 (i think) that was flying, and an Enzo that was taking it very easy and didn't sound quite right.

Then I set out and drove through some beautiful northern CT roads.

Maybe next time I need to wake up earlier......

Just thought I’d share pictures from our club drive yesterday, great time and some amazing cars.

I can’t recall ever seeing a mclaren F1 in person let alone 2 F40’s and 3 enzo’s….

The quote of the day came from the owner of one of the F40’s filling up on 112 Octane Leaded fuel for 9.75 per gallon.

“I had no idea I would go through this much gas, 4 mpg, 2 fillups @ 20 gallons each… I should’ve brought a drum…”

Yah do the math, that’s more than $400 bucks in gas and keep in mind they only had the track from 9a.m. to 1 p.m.

Dojo and Pete, thank you for showing me what I missed. (I think you both got the same shot from different angles of the guy in the F40 sticking his arm out the window and pointing left)

I'd hate to be the guy that crashed. Actually if he can afford to crash his Ferrari on Saturday, maybe I wouldn't mind being him.

I can't believe it mutant_tuna, we were just leaving the track around 1:15!! We all must have JUST missed one another... Next time, even if you are just thinking of joining, PM me your number!

And BIG thank you again for coming out everyone. This started out as a solo trip to LimeRock for me, but then I thought, humm, might as well see if anyone else at CaymanClub was interested.

It almost got cancelled due to questionable track access, but thanks to Jayman and a backup plan, we pulled it off!

I don't know how we're going to top this event, but we'll have to try!
