Feedback and ideas request for get togethers north of CT
One of the most unexpected benefits of my Cayman ownership experience so far has been all the great new friends I've made in the past few months thanks to this board.
The attendance at whatever event I post up has been great! I'm sure we can get at least half a dozen Caymans together for run to the new Dunkin Doughnuts on short notice.
We now have a nice group of owners in the Tri-State area that are all on a first name basis with each other.
However, I'm a little concerned for the members north of Connecticut in the Boston and Central NY areas that haven't been able to enjoy the same type of gatherings that we've had. I know we have enough people up there to get things going and you certainly have us southerners beat in terms of driving roads.
So I just want to throw this open to the floor and brainstorm on how to remedy this.
- Do we need someone based in MA to coordinate more local activities?
- Do we try and have youse (that's my NY accent showing) piggyback on PCA events as much as possible?
- Start a PistolPete relocation fund? (JUST KIDDING!!)
Any and all ideas are welcome...

I have lived in Boston for only 8 months, but I would be more than glad to act as coordinator for those events. I was actually thinking about starting something like that, since I see Caymans almost every day and don't recognize any of the drivers. If people would give me some ideas re. locations and etc., I would be more than glad to act as an organizer. I am very friendly with North Country PCA leaders, so I bet I could have them help me too.
PM me for my e-mail address.

I appreciate your feedback! I'm a little surprised at the lack of other responses so far unfortunately. At least someone call me a bad name or curse me out!

I am very surprised! I see more Caymans in the streets than 911s. I don't get it.
At the same time NER region is more reclusive than say NCR (that is why I switched to NCR). I will talk to NCR people and see if I could get them to help me work with us here to put something together in CT or thereabouts.

I live in Hartford area, but would be willing for a nice ride with a bunch of Cayman Brothers in CT with short notice. I am in Hawaii right now, so the next week or so I am out!
