Track Information

Hello North East Region folks. Does anyone have good information on where/ how to get started learning to drive the Cayman on a track in our area (I am actually in northern NJ). This car is so much fun on the roads I think I would like to learn how to properly drive it. Any information for a beginner looking to learn would be greatly appreciated.

Hi RcayR,

I saw this pop up on the active list, and while I'm not in your region, I would suggest you look into joining PCA. They have programs from track days to autocrossing that you can get into right away, and the track/autocrossing season is just beginning there in the East.

Go to pca.org and click on the 'regional directory' link... that will give you a map of the zones (that correspond to the zones on this site, too) that zone link will give you the names of the local regions (the local chapters are called regions) in your area. Each should have a listing of the president, and other officers and a link to the region's Web site, where you'll usually find event listings. You can either go to an event and ask someone to join, or you can join right at pca.org, and they'll assign you to the region appropriate region. All the regions on the East Coast have very active driving programs with instruction.

Feel free to send me a PM if you'd like more info or suggestions.

Good luck,
brad

If you sign up for the PCA, there's a driver ed. event at the end of May at Pocono Int'l Raceway. The Reisentotter region is hosting it.
