Hey Aka... what products are you using? Everyone tells me Griots...
I have such hard water marks on my benz and it's garaged... I'm over it....
Hey Hott, I'm rushing out the door right now to go to work. But get a Mr Clean wash gun, the filter will stop the water marks on the body and glass. I use Zaino on my cars. I think it's the best. The distributor is and old guy that sell it out of his house. He lives near Pearlridge SC. Gotta go...

I briefly followed a silver one around Ko’olina (gtkyl or whoever you were, sorry for the stalking).
Could have been me at Ko Olina, either for golf (SAT) or to have lunch at Roy's (SUN).
I was filling in gas at Costco Waipio on Saturday (6/23) and there was a black Cayman two lanes over. Didn't get a chance to say hi; he left before I could walk over.

Hey, great to know our numbers are growing! My CS is GT silver with cocoa full leather running between e hnl and downtown. I've only seen Wes Zane's cobalt blue CS so far at several PCA Hi runs. Was out of town for the Kamehame ridge get together. Hope to see some of you at future runs.
aloha, alan

Hott, you might also try claying your car to get the water spots off your black mb. I think it'll work. Our water is bad so the mr. clean gun will help alot.

Hi Alan:
I have to see your CS one day. I am interested in the GT Silver / Cocoa combination and your opinion on the long term durability of the full leather interior. My car sits outside day / night; covered if it's clean; which isn't always possible in rainy Kaneohe.

Alan, it was a pleasure meeting you. the only other cayman that i've seen has been Aka Wani's. i was beginning to believe that cayman sightings in HNL were like UFO or Bigfoot sightings...others see them but i never do.
hope that you had a great workout and i'll see you around...may be at the gym. BTW, GT silver is slick!

808Croc: Great meeting you too! Thanks for the comment, your black Cayman looked sharp too--bet it's even better in the light of day! Will keep an eye out for you and your car at the club.
gtkyl: Too early to tell how the cocoa leather will hold up, but mine is garaged at home and at work whenever I can. I had all the windows, except for the windshield, tinted with Huber Optik film, so that should help protect against sun damage.
Don't know when the next PCA-Hi fun run/lunch will be but it would be great to see more caymans turn out. It's usually mostly 996/997s. I'll try to remember to get the announcement of the next run out on this forum. BTW, I'm also a Zaino convert, get my stuff from Art in Aiea, who's the 808 distributor and Wheel Wax, a sponsor of this site. Both great stuff...

it might look sharp if it was clean and waxed, but as i don't have covered parking, it takes a beating. however, i try to wash it every weekend.
Art Yuen's (Joie's dad) number is 487-7467. He's at 98-605 Puailima St in Aiea above Pearl Ridge shopping center. You can call him to place your order and he'll have it ready for p/u. Art's a great guy and can tell you all you want to know about using the Zaino products.
I've used mainly the Z-2 (clear coat polish) with the ZFX (flash cure accelerator), Z-6 gloss enhancer spray for light cleaning in between water washes, and sometimes the Z-8 (grand finale spray) for extra gloss. The Z-2/ZFX goes on and polishes off pretty easily and leaves a deep, lasting shine. If your CS has been without polish for a while you may want to wash with Dawn detergent and clay bar it first using Z-6 as lubricant--it'll remove most of the residues on the clear coat and leave the finish smooth as a "baby's bottom". Set aside some time and brews to do all of this. I find it fun and rewarding actually... guess I'm kinda weird like many of the others on this forum.
