I'm looking for my first Porsche
Any other authorized dealers besides these two in South FL?
Also, if I was to purchase one at Champion, can I take it to the Collection for the warranty work (if I happen to need one)? Champion is much farther from me.
i would try to work a deal with the internet guys at champion and then make the collection match the price. its nice getting the car from the place that will service it because they will give you a rental car.
Thanks,
I'm in the process of negotiations.
The thing is, I'm looking at used cars and they don't have exact ones to compare.
I'm about to make an offer at the collection. We'll see what happens.
Tach,
Thanks. I saw that, the thing is buying it from Bill Ussery Merc, should I be worried about factory warranty? Or will they cover the warranty for the warranty period?
Thanks Greycroc.
Been checking out autotrader. Just sent out a few emails about a couple of cars listed there.
My only must have options is bi-xenon.
I see one has a carrera white with blue interior. Wonder how that looks.
Any Porsche dealer will do warranty work not matter where you bought it. Buying from one might get you some perks like a free loaner, and maybe a discount on work when out of warranty, but that's about it.
The Collection does put a "Preferred Customer" sticker on the windshield...it might help with setting up an appointment or a getting a car wash.
Thanks for the info.
I'll be checking out the other's then to see what kind of warranty they have left.
I'm very close to selecting the one at the Collection (assuming they take my offer).
But I just want to make sure I check all that's available.
Off topic though:
which is typically preferrable?
A 2007 with more options
or
A 2008 stock (except preferred package)
at approximately the same price.
An 08 will have a longer warranty and you will have the pleasure and know how it was broken in, etc... I was looking at used Boxsters when I bought my first Porsche and bought a new one at about the same price with less options.
Now I have an 07 Cayman S that I bought new at the Collection. Who is your sales person ?
You can check the Collection inventory on line, but if you want to see all their Caymans, go to the top floor of the Merrick Park parking garage. They have them plus their cayennes, audis, and jags. The ferraris, masers, 911s, and astons are in their building.
Well guys, wish me luck.
Just came back from the Collection and made an offer on the "New" Arctic Silver 07.
Unfortunately their sales manager was no longer there so I'll be getting my answer tomorrow.
Champion was about $300 more a month when I got my quote so I bought at Braman in Palm Beach. Those guys at Champion would not even look at me since I am only 26 when I pre ordered mine. But I went up to Braman and they were more than willing to work with me. I will never go back to Champion for that reason. Drew
Oh, an update by the way (if you haven't caught my other post)...
I brought her home on Saturday
I'm sure when they saw me, they thought I was just going to waste their time, which I can understand since everyone I meet thinks I'm about 25 yrs old (the lowest I've heard was 21). Hey, you won't hear any complaints from me
But, I agree, Jose was very good with working with me on the deal. It was very straight forward, I told him what I was looking for, he told me what they had available. Then I told
