thanks...thats funny you are heading to boston, maybe we should just swap houses?? LOL...
I'm looking at some of the new condo developments on the loop so I can walk to work and escape in the cs on the weekends, etc... I hate commuting even a short distance on a daily basis. Though. I 'm posting this now from a train during my weekly commute to NYC...so maybe a few miles wouldn't be so bad. LOL...

Dave, depends if you are buying or renting. South Loop is absolutely phenomenal place to live. Tons of public transportation. If you are buying, make sure that you get a deeded parking spot, cause those run about $30k these days.
There are some "soft" lofts in south loop on the market that are just amazing.
Get onto ziprealty.com and just start searching South Loop area up to I 55. You don't want to go more South than that.
If you want to buy a larger towhome in the city, forget it, unless you got 1.5mil to spend and ready for King Richard to tax the cr@p out of you
If we move to Boston, we have an eye on some houses in Sommerville. Wife is going to either MIT or Harward, so we are looking. Everything is so close though in Boston and the area. In Chicago stuff is just too spread out.

Are you guys still moving out there?
I was supposed to be out there as we speak. We even had a home scoped out on the North Shore, but in the end I declined the position.
I'm staying in Chicago.....until I can move out to Colorado at least

San Fracisco is now in the mix, since Genentech approached her. You see, I am married to a genius

If the concern is getting to a meet, I'm sure someone here would be able to give you a ride to where ever this meet is going to be.
