Congrats on the install. I wish I was closer so I could have helped or at least seen the process. Hopefully, I'll be doing this in a couple of months too.

Jacks and jackstands, and a whole lot of up-and-down.

I stopped in at Tischer this afternoon, to see if my spare parts had come in. While I was there, I gave Casey a quick ride, and I think he put it best: the car feels more planted.

If you're willing to drive down here, I can help you. But, you're buying lunch!

BillC,
Yea, I wish I had gotten your contact info. I planned on making a day of the PCA event that day but wound up only staying for a few minutes.

I didn't know it until you said it above but then realized that I get that inside wheel spin all the time.... Of course, I still dont see an LSD install in my future but it sounds great.

Hi Bill
Glad your install went Ok, (sorry you had to do it ALL by yourself, Brave Man) and Thanks for the insight to DIY and for your kind comments about the finish and feeling it gave you and the car after fitting. As Ken says.....GO DRIVE

LSD install

Langan Porsche in Schenectady, NY (near Albany) did my install for me. They had no problems. The cost, while not cheap, was fair (about 1,000). I have a good relationship with the dealer and they were willing to do this. I did provide the Cayman Club install directions, which were helpful.

According to the chief mechanic, who I dealt with, the install went without a hitch.
