Route 13 in Delaware - headed towards VA BEach
Headed from NJ to VA Beach. I see RT13 as a straight shot but never heard of this road. Is it a true highway no lights? What's the speed limit? Any info appreciated.

No. Route 13 has plenty of lights. Avoid it. Take the relatively new Route 1 south through Delaware rather than 13.

It's been a couple of years since I drove that way... IIRC, the northern section of Route 1 is pure highway - no lights other than a toll booth or two. The southern section (south of Dover?) reverts to older highway with lights. I'm just going from memory, so don't blame me if I am incorrect
