PCA HPDC @ summit point next weekend, anyone going?
I'm doing the Potomac Region’s High Performance Driving Clinic (HPDC) at the Jefferson Circuit, Summit Point Raceway, Summit Point , WV on September 22 and was just wondering if anyone else would be there....

Do you have to be apart of the PCA to go??? I tried joining but one of the admin. (Claudia. S) wouldn't let me join the Chesapeake Region. She said I needed two more years under my belt in order to join. I would love to meat up with you guys and see what tracking a CS is like.
PCA - Porsche Club Of America
The Porsche Club of America - http://www.pca.org
CaymanClub.Net members who are also PCA members should request access to the PCA Member only forum by filling in their PCA Member ID# into their profile and then requesting a group membership addition, both of which can be done in the User Control Panel (User CP)
Golfguy: Perhaps you misunderstood Claudia. There's no waiting period to join PCA. But, yes, I think you do have to be a PCA member to participate in Potomac Region's events. I think they also now require completion of a HPDC event before doing a regular DE event.

I think they told me you needed the HPDC and at least an autocross to do a DE.
You do need to be a PCA member for the HPDC though I'm pretty sure they have locked down registration by now. It took me all summer (until now) to get into one of these classes because I just can't plan far enough ahead most of the time to sign up for one that early.
Are you guys driving over that morning or the night before?

Really good event - largest collection of Cayman's I have seen in one spot outside a dealer. Enjoyed meeting all of you and look forward to seeing you around the track in the future.
Yea, it was a good weekend. I got excited just seeing all the P cars in one place. It was interesting that almost everyone there was in very nice and very new cars.
I did wind up damaging my silver CS though. I'm not sure how. I dont even remember hitting a cone but there is a plastic part in front of my right front tire that is hanging down (I have no idea what it is) and the inside right front fender well was pulled out which bent the inside lip of my fender. I was planning on doing the November DE but after seeing that, I am no longer interested in breaking my CS...

Sorry to hear about the damage. I remember killing a few cones myself but did not see any issues with my vehicle. Will check it closer though.
