2008 Track Events

so far I've found that

TrackSchedule.com - Coco's Drivers Ed Calendar for 2007
Schattenbaum Home Page
Riesentöter Region - Porsche Club of America

have some 2008 events up.

Who's going where ?

Jeff

I heard that you guys are having a private event at Summit Point..but may open it up for registration. If thats the case please post it here. I checked out your other tracks and they are a bit far for me. Right now my max drive time is 6 hours from the Washington DC metro area.

Jeff:

Yes the Summit Point event is a corporate day we are hosting for a car dealer group in Maryland. It may open up to general registration. Keep an eye on our web site over then next few months.

In the mean time, we hope to be announcing a track weekend at BeaveRun near Pittsburgh. Little closer!

Hello,

I'm new to this forum but I just ordered a 2008 Cayman S. I'm a 25 year member of PCA and I instruct for them and a number of other organizations.

Here are some track events that I've noted that may be of interest to others in this region. All are HPDE (High Performance Drivers Education) type schools unless otherwise marked.

Watkins Glen:

5/5-5/6--PDA (Performance Drivers Association)
5/16-17-18--Allegheny Region PCA, note that 5/16 is by invitation only
7/14-15--PDA
9/15-16--PDA

BeaveRun:

5/31-6/1--PDA/NASA, HPDE school and racing
8/23-24--Allegheny Region PCA

Mid-Ohio:

7/4-5-6--Allegheny Region PCA
9/26-27-28--Allegheny Region PCA

I will have more HPDE events coming up but I do not yet have specific dates; probably 2 more at Mid Ohio and one more at BeaverRun. I will also be at several BeaveRun "flat-out" days.

Perhaps I'll meet some of you at the track.

Bart

Does anyone do Seat Time at Summit Point ? I'm thinking of going on May 15th.

I was at FATT this past Friday and saw several Caymans so I know there are some of you out there

They are pretty well run, the problem is they tend to be crowded and mostly newbies, even in the intermediate group. So it depends at what level you currently are.

Once you get signed off there, they have Seat Time 2-3 times a year where you pay the same fee and its open track all day.

I haven't done it before but I hear its always pretty empty and your tired after 3 hours or so..
