I called Porsche Road Service and they sent a truck out that services my dealer. He got to me by 12:40 and flatbedded to the dealer.
The blow out ocurred on Geigel Hill Road. I pulled off into a driveway of a very nice family and waited to for the truck.
I'm sorry that you had problems - that's not a great place to be stranded either. It was good that you found a friendly place to hang out while the truck arrived. I'm guessing that you had the flat sometime around 10:15am, so that's quite a wait you had for the truck. Was it a big pothole? That's impressive that you lost a tire from that road.
I never saw the damn thing but I certainly heard it. It was a loud bam. I don't think I was going too fast, but fast enough. It was about an inch long right at the rim. The wait wasn't too bad. As it happened, there were two other calls from Porsche owners right after mine. I might still be waiting if I had called later.

I'm glad - that sun was intense and it was too bright and hot to be outside for too long.
Wayne - thanks for organizing yet another GREAT drive! Quite a turnout of Porsches, including around 10 Cayman.
Looking forward to the June covered bridge run!

Not only will you see me, but my wife wants to go next time as well.
Be careful here, teach. Brought my wife to navigate last summer, and now we have to alternate the driving/navigating duties for these drives. I remember her saying something like "THAT looks like fun! Let me drive next time."
It's much less fun getting tossed around the passenger seat trying to shout out distances to the next turn. More fun to drive.
Seriously, if you bring her, and she enjoys it, it just opens up more opportunities for you to play with the car.
