I could certainly be lured to breakfast or lunch; but I can't cope with driving around the countryside in a convoy. I have to concentrate pretty hard on what I'm doing, just to get where I'm going at my own leisurely pace; I'd get frazzled trying to keep up with whoever is in front of me while trying to stay ahead of who's behind.

Hi Freddy,

All I can say is that Wellardmac's last run was a lot of fun and no one was left behind. The route was well mapped and everybody was nice and relaxed during the drive.

This is in contrast to some other runs I've been to where things degenerated into a race down the road. I don't bother going to those get togethers anymore!

I hope you change your mind and try to attend. Nothing beats seeing a long chain of Porsches on the road in front and behind you!

Here is a link to pictures of the run we had last fall:

@2007 Fall Drive

I'm marking 4/19 down in my calendar. My first AutoX event will be 4/20 at the NJ Meadowlands so it looks like the car will get a nice workout that weekend!

Sounds interesting. I haven't seen the autocross or DE schedules yet but I would like to go if I don't have a conflict. Were do you start from ?

Crossing my fingers

I have a March build date so if I have my car by then I'd love to attend. I'm probably in Fredyy's camp though as far as needing to pay more attention to where I am as opposed to where everyone else is. The CS will be my first serious manual trans exposure in quite some time. I may be a bit too rusty for a group drive. Wouldn't want to be the cause of the first-ever 10 car Cayman pileup

Thanks guys! It's good to be back and am glad to see that you're all as eager as I am to hit the road.

I went out for a quick blast around the back roads today and I'm really itching for a nice romp.

I've updated the first post with the details. Looks like we have a plan.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Marked it down on the calendar; will know for sure when it gets closer.

And to Fredyy: If you can bring along a friend to act as your navigator, the drive is very easy to follow along. Fun and spirited, yes, but you shouldn't get separated from the group. My wife navigated our first time out, and she had so much fun she kicked me out of the driver's seat for run #2!

Would love to attend. Will mark it down but may need a friendly reminder...
This will be somewhat of a departure... I'm an ex-Ferrari guy. Have about 2 dozen of these runs under my belt in the old 308... First time for a Porsche-based group... I guess I'm coming over to the dark side.

i'd have to leave the house at 6, that hurts for a 25 year old. If i can crash at a friends house in jersey the night before i'd go, if the seats reclined more i'd probably sleep in the parking lot
