Philly area Porsche Service

Hello all. Relative newbie here. I've had my CS for a few months. Purchased new from a local dealer. I'm about to put in some upgrades (OEM short shifter, painted center console, Dension iPod unit, side markers, maybe wheel spacers). Nothing major (exhaust comes later). My dealer is quoting somewhere around or above $210/hr. It sounds like it will cost me $800-$1000, possibly more, for these installs. I think that's ridiculous.

Can anyone give me thoughts/recommendations on Porsche service around here?

Thanks in advance.

What is there to consider? The benefits of membership are great, the cost is little.

It's not the cost. When I had the Ferrari, I joined FCA, but I never really made it to many of their events nor really benefitted much. I'm hoping that since the Cayman is my daily drive I would get more use out of the PCA membership, that's all. Probably sign up this weekend. (Can I just sign up on their web site or is there some special way I need to do it through Caymanclub.net for commission/whatever?)

I clicked on PCA logo on home page and joined on there (just in case).

Very smooth and streamlined process.

IMHO, those are good mods to do. A few of those I'd like to do myself. Make sure to use the sponsors for the spacers and painted center console.

Bumper Plugs for the console will save you about 40% off dealer price.

Boothe Design for the spacers.

Yep. Getting the center console and Dension unit from Bumperplugs. OEM short shifter from Tischer. Will call Boothe about the spacers (I just want a slightly more aggressive look, but I am keen to avoid any change in drive or handling or any rubbing... Not sure whether to go with 7mm or 10mm...Thoughts?)
