Private AX school at fedex

I just thought I'd through this out there. Someone from work has arranged a private AX course for next Friday (I think its basically the SCCA course/people). It was arranged specifically for work people but the we have only 9 people so far and the guy putting it together was hoping for at least 10. (we pay one set price no matter how many people show up).

I assume it is FEDEX field, i.e., Redskins stadium.

I would be interested too.

Well, let me make some calls and see if there are still openings. Sorry, I'm a little late; I've kept getting those empty white pages when I logged onto the club here.

But yes, it will be in the parking lot of the fedex football field.

Doing an all day AX school with 10 cars should let you wind up getting a gazzillion runs in so (if my ps2s hold up) it should be a good day. I was hoping to have new wheels and some R compounds for the course but after reading the wheel and tire forum on here I decided to skip it.

It would probably be a 8-4ish type thing on the 18th and would run around $200 ($225 is my guess). A little bit more then just going to a regularly planned class but it has to allow for quite a bit more run time. They would probably show up with one instructor for every 2 cars and I am sure helmets will be provided. I really don't even know the guy (at work) who is planning it so I haven't been getting the most current info nor do I know if he still wants more people but I will look into it.

Hope I can get you guys in....

Ouch! That is pretty steep for an Autocross. Do they serve breakfast and lunch with that? The club events are 40 bucks!

This is a whole different thing then a club event. If you do a Ax, you can get like 4 runs in. Here you may be able to get 50. Plus you have an instructor the whole time. this is a training event and one I think was a lot more exciting then the HPDE. If you take the SCCA course with 20+ poeple I think its around $175 but I could be wrong.

If it's on the 18th, not the 11th, I'd like to join in if you have room...

Sorry guys. I'm at a client site and can't get to my work email. I finally got someone to call me back by phone and the drivers list has been finalized. I was surprised when he told me he wouldn't just put someone else in (it gets cheaper with each person). But I guess we will have the hole course to ourselves with only 10 different people basically going as often as they want. He did ask me to find other drivers a week ago so it must be some requirement the AX program people are putting on him.

If anyone is in the area feel free to stop by (fedex this friday) but I'm sure mine will be the only Porsche.

(I know this is a question for Ken, but does anyone else continue to get an empty white page every time they log into the club?)

Does not sound right. What type of computer and browser/version are you running. I would send Ken a PM as he may not read every post.
