Holy Donut car show on 7 Sep?

Would anyone be interested in having a Zone 2 (other zones welcome, too) CaymanClub meet at the "Church of the Holy Donut" car show? This is an informal car show that happens every Sunday morning when the weather is nice, and this is the last year that the show will happen -- the strip mall where this is held was purchased and is going to become some enormous "big box" store.

I was thinking that Sunday, 7 Sep might be a good day. If we get there before 8am, we should be able to get a large group of Caymans all parked together. Then, after the show, we could go for a drive and/or lunch.

I went by this morning, and the show was packed. We've talked about going to the CoHD show in the past, and if we don't do it soon, we may never have a chance.

The show is in Burtonsville, MD, on the corner of MD 198 and old Rt 29 (about 1/4 mile west of where 29 now runs). Very easy to get to.

If the 7th is no good, what day would everyone prefer? We could do 31 Aug, but that's the day before Labor Day, and I don't know how many people will be there. Sep 14th is out, since that's the next PCA Potomac Autocross. So, after the 7th, the next "available" date is 21 Sep -- would that work?

Anyways, since the show is every Sunday that has nice weather, when would y'all like to do it?

Never knew this existed. I'm up for it. So far I'm open for any days listed but can only stay ~3 hours. Sounds like it starts at 8 but how long does it last?

Just let me know which day.

Are the directions below accurate:

Beltway to Exit 30 A - RT 29 North - Colesville Road - to exit at RT 198(8 miles) - left on RT 198 to parking lot on right.

It usually starts at 8 AM and goes until 10:30-11 AM, from what I was able to gather.

The actual address for you mapquesters is:
Dunkin Donuts
15600 Columbia Pike
Burtonsville, MD 20866

This is where it gets the name from.

boobernackle -- your directions look right, from the DC beltway. Or, you can take I-95 to exit 33B, MD 198 West, and go about 3 miles.

To give people enough time to make plans, should we just set the date for September 21st?

However, if anyone is interested and if the weather is nice on Sunday (31 Aug), I'm going to go anyway. However, they are currently forecasting rain on Sunday, so I won't bother if it's raining (no one would be there, anyway).

I'll probably swing by to check it out.

Pencil me in for the 21st as well. I just hope I remember.

Looks like it's going to be a nice sunny day on Sunday, Aug 31st. Still want to go? I'm interested and I can go, but I've never been there before and don't want to be the Lone Cayman

Sounds like a plan! Barring unforeseen circumstances, I'll see you on Sunday (and anyone else who wants to come).
