Here's the "official" announcement for a Zone 2 meet, at the "Church of the Holy Donut" car show on Sunday, 21 Sep (assuming the weather is nice). The show is on MD Rt 198, near Rt 29, in Burtonsville. Plan to get there by 0800, or we won't be able to park together.
I was figuring we could hang out and check out all the cars until 1030 or so, and then go for a drive and have lunch. How does the Outta the Way Cafe (in Derwood) sound for lunch? Or, feel free to suggest a place.
Well, I went. Where was everyone one else? As of when I left (~1015), mine was the only Cayman there.
We can always try this again some other time, since it's a damned good show and is held every Sunday morning with nice weather. However, someone else can take the lead next time.
Sorry I missed ya. I actually showed up ~11. I guess people blow out of there pretty early. There were only but a few cars left on the lot. I saw a few vettes (but not ZR1 ) Oh well, maybe next time.

Sorry you were on your own. It was a bridge too far on a Sunday morning for me.

Hey Bill, just wanted to say sorry. I was meaning to let you know that I wouldn't be able to make it that Sunday morning. Boy do I feel like a doofus, not only the car show, but I missed the autocross on the 14th. I've had strep throat for the past 4 days along with temporary full body achiness and semi seemingly paralysis of my back and neck and a terrible cough . Damn I'm just mad cause I said I was going, but never wrote back to say I couldn't make it x2. Sorry guys.
Maybe we should do a PM for more direct/faster responses, along with a thread for a potential next meet. I wouldn't mind setting it up, it's the least I could do.
Well I was late because I just wanted to sleep in some more on a sunday (it was far away) but then got a low coolant light on the way there. This upset me because I've been wondering for a couple weeks now if the car just 'seemed' like it was too hot after I got out of it. and I autocrossed last weekend! I admit to never checking the level before but now I understand how worthless our temp gage is. I was 25 oz's low on coolant. Still haven't driven it enough to make sure its not actually leaking or something.

It's okay, guys. Don't sweat it. I was just wondering where everyone was, since we had talked about meeting there.

Things start to break up by 10:30. Peak attendance seems to be between 9am and 10am, but the parking lot is pretty full by 8:30am.
There was a black ZR1 there -- you just gotta get there early enough.
