PCA Maryland License Plate Question

Hi,

I was looking at possibly getting a PCA license plate in Maryland but was wondering about the cost. I looked at the local PCA website and I know it costs $35.00 but I was wondering if that was a one time fee or an annual fee (or if there is any annual fee which i assume there is).

Thanks!

The fee to join PCA is an annual one. They now have an option where you pay for two-or-three years at the same time, and the cost comes down a little bit. you probably will need to look up what additional costs there are for the plate and such on the MD DMV website, as I'm sure there will be some for the custom plate, etc. you also might want to see what rules the state has for keeping the plate if decide to not keep your PCA membership.

I'm sure others from this region will have some more specific information as I've seen pictures of several of them with the plates.

Thanks Beez,

It seems the only way to get the plates is to join PCA (which I am a member of) and go through the local chapter to order the plates ($35). It cannot be ordered directly with the DMV. As a result, I'm not even sure if they classify this as personalized plates or not.

Anyway, hopefully somebody will be able to clarify if there is an annual fee. I also emailed the local PCA chapter and have not received a response.

Thanks!

Its every 2 years when you renew your tags ($35 additional)...

and of course you pay your annual fee to be a member $42.00.
