Radar Warning!!!!!!!!!!!

The state of NC has recently purchased 14 LIDAR- laser devices. These are the first ones used in the state according to the news media. The initial targeted areas are routes leading to the Myrtle beach area like 601 and I-95 South. Future plans include at least one LIDAR unit in each state trooper district. You can bet that once these things start bringing in truckloads of cash as predicted- you will start seeing them everywhere statewide. You can also count on a learning curve as to the "skills" of the operator in the early stages so it will get real interesting.Be careful out there and buy yourself a good radar/lased dector.

A LIDAR detector is useless in most situations. Once it goes off, you've already been clocked.

If you really want to defeat LIDAR, you need an IR laser shifter.

As Interpol said, detectors are useless against LIDAR, I'd recommend an Escort ZR3 shifter to defeat the LIDAR. They are on sale during the group buy for Cayman Club PCA members.

Interesting. If you read the laser section of the laser section of the Escort radar school website info you leave with confidence that the 9500 can "readily see this agressive threat". There are references to laser signals spliting up and /or bouncing off other objects which implies that these signals will produce an advance warning signal. However if you read further there is a reference to a "group" of vehicles which would sort of further imply that a single vehicle would not be protected contray to the previous statement. . I have no prior knowledge of LIDAR issues.Completely new to the state.-The additional hardware sounds like a good idea. Will check for other related threads.
