The Alabama Region of the Porsche Club of America invites you to join us for a great weekend, the 3rd Annual Magic City Challenge Club Race, at Barber Motorsports Park, Birmingham, Alabama, on June 20-22, 2008.
Barber Motorsports Park combines natural beauty and technical complexity to create a unique motorsports experience. It is without a doubt one of the finest racing facilities in the world, user friendly to both competitors and spectators." Hurley Haywood. Track features include a 45' wide surface through 16 turns with 80' of elevation change for 2.38 miles. It was brought to life in 2003 by George Barber, always an automobile enthusiast. He raced, modified and maintained Porsches in the 1970's with 63 first place finishes. It is also the home of the Porsche Sport Driving School for North America. Yes, this is a track built by a Club Racer for Club Racers!
This is a three day event packaged just for you. Gates open at 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 19. Friday includes test and tune run under DE rules. Take advantage of the track time if this is your first time at the track. Then, wear yourself out in the Sprint and Endurance races on Saturday and Sunday.
