Dallas Meet & Greet July 21st!!!!

Due to popular demand, I have decided to get a meet & greet going in the Dallas area on July 21st.

Here's where we are going:

OverTime Sports Cafe - HOME

It's in Forney, TX, just east of Dallas.

My wife's friend owns this bar and he is excited to have us (what establishment wouldn't want a packing lot filled with Porsche's?) He told me that there is plenty of parking and he and I are going to sit down soon to come up with some specials and such, so more to come.

I thought we could all show up here around 3pm. Hopefully that works for everyone.

I will need a head count as we get closer so I can tell our friend so he can in turn staff accordingly.

Let me know if you have any questions but this should be fun. Obviously this is not limited to just Dallas folks so come join us, Saturday July 21st @ 3pm!!!

No thanks required. I'll use any excuse I can get to drive my car and meet members. Unfortunately I won't be driving my CS, I'm going up to Dallas with the family to visit my mother in law so I will be in the Cayenne S. Still a "CS" and still a Porsche.

So far after posting this yesterday it looks like this could be a good turn out. Thus far 6 members have said they will show up and one of those members is bringing some other Cayman drivers. And true to form, we will have some members driving in from Austin and Houston!

I'm pushing for Zone 5's best turn out yet!

Yeah I know... I tried getting the 2 year old to lay down in the rear boot but he's just a little too big. I suppose I could make him lay over the whole back including the engine, I'll give that a try this afternoon.

The 4 month old fits perfect in the front boot. And for all of you that are disgusted that I would even mention this, don't worry, he was strapped in his car seat. I mean what kind of father would I be if I didn't make him ride in his car seat?????

All kidding aside, it's still a Porsche, right?

NOT FUNNY... no child endangerment jokes allowed. Not even in jest! You get one pass.

Of course, I have a pic posted of my 3 year old with my helmet on in the drivers seat of my CS. The car is parked though.

Ok.... I gotta sign off, get some stuff done. I'm having SERIOUS CS withdrawl. I gotta get a grip.... I might have to go test drive a new one just to shake it off. I DO need a back up Porsche. A CS racer would be nice.

Glad to hear that you are going to be able to make this time around. I know you've wanted to make it to one of these things for a while now. I'm going to discuss details with the bar's owner this week and I will be sure to post them.

I'm sure it will too. In the very least it will be a beacon for everyone if they are having trouble finding the place. It is red, VERY red. It is so red it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Thank you for one other thing...I am still a kid at heart and since the latest Harry Potter book comes out that weekend, you have saved me from spending the entire day reading the whole thing.
