DE Tech Inspection in Dallas?

So what are some good places for a DE tech inspection in the Dallas area? I need to get one for the Maverick Region September PCA DE and one for the BMW Oktoberfest DE at MSR on Sept. 29-30 (hopefully both at once).

Ruf is actually pretty close to me and I'm sure they'd do one, but I'm not sure if that's worth it for a tech inspection (Ruf is somewhat expensive, though they've done a couple of alignments for me and installed my diff).

Bedford is not so close.

I'm on the opposite coast so I can't speak with any authority on your area but here in Zone 1 they post of list at the web site with all the businesses that do tech inspections for the local PCA club, but they also list all the individuals that do tech inspections at their homes. I have found that businesses will charge for the tech inspections but individuals doing them at home will not. Its just a chance for a few Porsche fanatics to get together and talk about their cars and experiences will the car is being inspected. Lets face it, there isn't a whole lot to inspect on a new Cayman compared to an older 911.

I had mine inspected last weekend for an event this weekend and made a new friend in the process.

The schools I have done in the past with the MR PCA have arranged with a couple local shops to do free tech inspections. You should ask the contact person for the DE. I think Autoscope in Plano was one and they had another in Ft Worth.

Try your dealer. The Porsche Dealers in Houston do them for free. They get their pound of flesh when they find domething wrong and do the repair for you.

Also, try Park Place in Dallas. They are a sponsor here and I personally know the Intenet sales manager and the Parts manager - both great guys! If you want me to put you in touch with them, let me know.
