Spring is here and I think it is time to have another Round Top trip for fun roads, great food and meeting up with friends! The Bluebonnets should still be out so if the weather cooperates, it is bound to be a great time.
For those of you that are new to Zone 5, check out these 2 threads from last year when we went:
Just as last year, we will be meeting at the Round Top Cafe. Which has some of the best food you will eat, I promise! Noon is as good a time as any, so mark your calendars for April 27th at 12:00 pm for good food and good friends!
JTP,
looks like we'll have the pie all to ourselves, pretty slim turn out so far
I'm trying to drag the Mrs along with me, even offered to buy her lunch
I'm just now reading this post about Sun. 4/27/08 - this is the only day of the week I can do something like this (I work all the time) - WOW! Where are the Houston crowd meeting and at what time? I live in northwest Houston, so i'm familiar with gas stations at intersections, etc. The driving in and around Round Top is beautiful this time of year, so we should have a great time. Please get back to me with some specifics. Thanks alot, I'll see you guys there. Alex

Ooooohhhh! I forgot about their pie! To those that haven't been to the Round Top Cafe, they have the best pie I have ever had. Better then my Grandmother's Apple Pie. Geez did I say that? I hope she doesn't read this,
Seriously, I hope that more of you decide to go to this. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and you can have a fantastic drive, see the Bluebonnets, and meet some friends for some incredible food. Plus Round Top has some nice little shops and an antique car museum nearby.
It should be a good time, I know it was last year.
TXKMANS: No need for the B&B, unfortunately, I just got tagged for a business trip that weekend. Bummer. Have a great time, and I hope to join you next year.
OK.. 4/27 date is posted on our calendar... maybe Papa in Austin can round up some more Caymans to caravan. We're game again. By the way, 'saw another yellow Cayman this week beside Papa in Austin This one was on Bee Cave Road in Austin, but we could not make it fast enough to see where it was going.
anyone in the houston metro area want to drive to round top together? my wife and i are planning to go, and thought we'd caravan from houston and meet the rest of the caymans at noon at the cafe. let me know if you're interested. thanx, alex
