have the opportunity to schedule a "driving class" here in Austin, could do it for Cayman Club only but probably have to expand the invite list. This would be similar to Momentum driving class in Houston, from 9am until 4pm taught by professional Ferrari race driver. Cost $150 with classroom and test track sessions. Once you're "cleared" subsequent sessions are $50. Any interest?
That's a fun (but small) track! My friend built it, and I went there several times before he sold it. It was really cool w/ the shifter karts!
Hopefully I could be cleared since I'm solo qualified w/ The Driver's Edge and have plenty of prior exp. w/ that track.
I'd be all over it for $50, but $150 is kind of pricey IMO for a kart-sized track. I def. need to get my Cayman on some track soon, though!
PS Were you on 360, turning off on Lost Creek Blvd. yesterday ~7pm? Yesterday I saw my first other Cayman on the road in Austin. It was yellow, so I was wondering if it might have been you.

yes, driveway & Bill
dates are open, he wants 25 minimum
have you been to his school?
this sounds like halfway between autocross and a DE
but fun anyway, and probably some excellent pointers to boot

LSD - Limited Slip Differential
A limited slip differential (LSD) is a modified or derived type of differential gear arrangement that allows for some difference in rotational velocity of the output shafts, but does not allow the difference in speed to increase beyond a preset amount. In an automobile, such limited slip differentials are sometimes used in place of a standard differential, where they convey certain dynamic advantages, at the expense of greater complexity.
The main advantage of a limited slip differential is found by considering the case of a standard (or "open") differential where one wheel has no contact with the ground at all. In such a case, the contacting wheel will remain stationary, and the non-contacting wheel will rotate freely– the torque transmitted will be equal at both wheels, but will not exceed the threshold of torque needed to move the vehicle, thus the vehicle will remain stationary. In everyday use on typical roads, such a situation is very unlikely, and so a normal differential suffices. For more demanding use however, such as driving off-road, or for high performance vehicles, such a state of affairs is undesirable, and the LSD can be employed to deal with it. By limiting the velocity difference between a pair of driven wheels, useful torque can be transmitted as long as there is some friction available on at least one of the wheels.

Add another name to the interested list. My wife would like to get a track driving experience, but I think this would be a better starting point than TWS or MSR.
