Just finished my de-snorkle last night and it sound great, not sure if there is any power gain but it sounds great and looks cool. I use SS rain gutter mesh from Canadian Tire. I spray painted it black with some high temp engine paint. It's was a bit of a bitch to get off but no broken parts so all is well.
