Arrow TWR July Sunday Drive - Freedom Run III - 7/27

For July we're returning to the Kitsap Peninsula. After 2 years, it's about time we enjoy the twisted rural roads that criss-cross the area. We'll head out from Bremerton and enjoy Lunch at Scenic Beach State Park. Then make our way south to an old Ghost Town before returning home via South Worth. This is years most technical route, with some of the twistiest roads around, so be prepared for a bit of a workout. Details and registration, as always are avaialable at The Winding Road - Road Haps (Events) | Sun, 27 Jul 2008: Freedom Run III

Here's a taste of what we'll be enjoying Sunday.

YouTube - Freedom Run III Preview

Please excuse the metal bar in the middle of the image. I built the mount the evening before, and didn't realize it was going to reflect onto the windshield like that. It's been painted flat black since to help reduce that issue.

I might be able to make the drive, before registering on the site do you have any suggestions for a 2 way radio, I'm just looking for something that is functional and relatively inexpensive, doesn't need to be pretty or have a lot of features

Basically any of the GMRS capable radios will work. We don't run privacy codes, but do use one of the higher channels. I also have a couple of spares to loan, but those are first come first served. Radio Shack and Best Buy both seem to have decent prices for local brick-and-motar operations.
