Wondering if anyone has tried the TechArt Air Filter, as that is part of thier tuners kit for the Cayman S. Any info or data will be helpful, as i m thinking of changing the stock out.


As with the Exterior Aluminum body Kit from Porsche, has anyone ordered it with their car? I would like the details on that, as it would be nice to get these parts as add ons.

Do not know much about the TechArt air filter, but this is my 5th Porsche and I always immediately swap out the air filter for a BMC air filter. Allows much higher air flow than OEM filter. Check out www.bmcairfilter.com for further information.

Thanks for the BMC info. Checked out their web site, their filter looks exactly like the ones in the TechArt web site and cost about $190.00 US less. (as CEC in LA sells the TechArt one for $280.00) Any idea as to how many HP you gain? I m not greedy, just hoping to get 5 more to make it 300hp total. Any thoughts or idea would be great.

Since Porsche is conservative with their h.p. estimates you may already have 300 h.p. It is doubtful that you would notice another 5 so this would be for bragging rights only?

You got it, bragging right it is! Any gain will be a step closer to tieing the 911 in 0-60 time. Just ordered the BMC filter on line, wondering which european country are they based? Spa (Spain?)

I asked CEC/TechArt about the CaymanS filter and it's dyno numbers, but unfortunately they didn't share any numbers.

Yes, those definitely are some of the keys. Unfortunately all too often if enough stringent R&amp;D hasn't been done, those ingredients, specifically the intake, can actually lose power over stock. So make sure that the tuner/manufacturer has done their homework and can prove their gains via dyno charts. Also, take higher claims with a grain of salt. Unfortunately not everyone plays fairly, and sometimes will inflate gains.
