Any Portland Oregon area Caymanites out there?

It would be nice to meet, perhaps at the upcoming Porsche Parade in early August. I REALLY hope I have mine by then. Still waiting for it to go ON VESSEL. -Steve

Hi Steve,

I've seen a few around town (Speed Yellow, Guards Red, Basalt Black, etc) so they're around, maybe just lurking here.

PS--The PCA Parade was great. We were lucky to have such wonderful visitors to our city.

Jeremy, I'm just now seeing this reply. Where do you like to go? So far I've enjoyed the Bald Peak area and down the backside on Laurel Road. I live in SW PDX. Perhaps we should go for a drive sometime. -Steve

Hi Steve,

We always enjoy the backroads. The Bald Peak area is great. I enjoy the road from Mountain Home (I believe that's what it's called).

Not too long ago we went out with the BMW/Audi club to the tulips near Woodburn, via the Canby ferry, then back through Chehalem and ended up for dinner at the McMenamin's off Cornelius Pass Road (the one tucked back in the hills, not Imbrie Hall). It was definitely enjoyable.

PS--I just saw another S (Basalt Black I believe) over the weekend off of Farmington. It had Beverly Hills Porsche plates and the paint was so glossy it appeared that the paint was dripping off of it. I was in our black Audi Avant and gave a thumbs up.

Fellow Portland area Caymanites-Jeremy,SJD-Greetings from basic black ,formerly known as 'beverly hills porsche',seen on farmington road;glossy and dripping???,now to be recognized as'DOC G8R',Salmon plate-well,at least the back plate will be on! The beverly hills plate was a real eye stopper--long story behind that! But I.m ecstatic that my vanity plate finally arrived-I got tired of being mistaken for tom cruise househunting in Beaverton-LOL--I haven't had much free time and just starting to navigate my way around this site! And what a fantastic community of Caymanites-I have been absolutely delighted and awestruck by what this fabulous machine can do--I have had absolutely no problems(except one-some miscreant slashed one of my tires in a walgreens in murrayhill section of Beaverton)-Being a true neophyte to the Porsche culture,I have had to learn from scratch-I had no idea that there were such learned

<div>con't---... such learned treatises on how to correctly wash the car ;what products to use etc. But it's been a real joy! I wasn't aware of length and breadth of my ignorance! I think it would be great if we could form a local portland area caymanite interest group-There must be a list of all portland area Caymanites out there? Somewhere-Howsabout Caymaners-Caymanites sound downright biblical(not that there's anything wrong with that!)-Ciao-Look for me on west side-MurrayBlvd and environs--p.s. I have not seen many cayman s on this side of town-Maybe 1-2 others!</div>

I am also hear in the Tigard/Beaverton area. I am also shopping for the croc. Problem with me is that I can decide on color or the S vs base model.

Beavrstate,

Real Bummer on your tire being slashed in Murray Hill no less - a real nice area. My friends Lotus was kicked at the Washington Square mall ($10K damage), and neighbors Boxster was keyed real bad and sprayed with 'motor oil' all over the top and front of the hood. I am worried about this...

Hi Brian,

Nice to meet you. 'Tom Cruise househunting'..LOL.

Someone slashed one of your tires in Walgreen's in Murrayhill. WTH? During the day? I am so sorry to hear that.

I'd definitely say CaymanS Chris, especially if you plan to add any simple modifications to it. There will be a lot more available (already is) for the S vs the base model.

Re: Lotus and Boxster....What sick people are doing this? Jeez, have respect for one's machines...
