OK, so there are at least 6 of us in the Bay Area.
Lets have a meet. Can either wait until the May event at Monster Park, or sometime in Feb. Any preferences/ideas?
Looking forward to seeing a half dozen Cayman's in on place. It would be cool to at least hit the Marin Headlands on a sunny day and take some shots of 6 Caymans with SF and the Golden Gate in the background.
Let me suggest a February event, at least to meet and do some photos. I intent to follow the recommendation about break-in, so that will limit the amount of fun I can have during an actual tour. I don't know if anyone else in the Bay Area group is following the recommendation, but if there are others that's a reason to wait until May for the tour.

'She said she had a big lizard or something in her backyard,' he recounted.
Poulter, 68, ran over and grabbed the <strong style="color: black; background-color: rgb(153, 255, 153);">alligator[/b] by the back of its head.
'He whipped around a few times and was hissing at me,' Poulter said.
Poulter managed to wrestle the <strong style="color: black; background-color: rgb(153, 255, 153);">alligator[/b] into a dog cage. He tried to feed it dog food and eventually turned it over to officials from the state Department of Fish and Game, who believe it's an escaped pet.
'It is a prohibited species. They aren't allowed to be in California within certain circumstances,' said Lt. Don Richardson. 'It's an animal that we don't want to get out in the wild to cause problems.'
The gator's fate has yet to be determined.

Cayman S - a portable amusement park
Got mine yesterday. Speed yellow, 19 inch carrera S wheels, PASM, Nav, and sports chronometer. I live in San Ramon, CA.
PASM - Porsche Active Suspension Management
This active damping system offers continuous adjustment of individual damping forces based on current road conditions and driving style.
The driver can choose from two setup modes, ‘Normal’ and ‘Sport’, using a separate ‘damper’ button on the center console. ‘Normal’ mode is designed for general road driving and circuits with uneven tarmac. ‘Sport’ mode is intended for smoother track surfaces, where the harder settings help eliminate pitch and roll.
In either mode, PASM continuously evaluates the current conditions while automatically selecting the corresponding damper rates from the respective set of mapped values.
A range of sensors are used to monitor the movement of the body under acceleration, braking and cornering maneuvers, as well as on poor road surfaces. The PASM control unit then evaluates this data and modifies the damping force on each individual wheel in accordance with the selected mode. The result is a significant reduction in body movement as well as a better grip on the road.
For example: if ‘Sport’ mode is selected, the suspension is automatically set to a harder damper rating. If the quality of the track surface falls below a certain threshold, the system immediately changes to a softer rating within the ‘Sport’ setup range. When the quality of the tarmac improves once more, PASM automatically returns to the original, harder rating.

I have already 200 miles because I drove it last night to SF, SJ, Marine county, and around town. Didn't get home till midnight. This morning I went pass 6000 RPM on a third gear freeway pass.....I want to get out of the break-in period. I could tell this car screams at 7200 RPM.

Congrats. Have U tried it running into Norris Canyon Road, Palomares Road to 84, and to Calaveras Rd? The best roads to test our Cayman.

i live in palomares hill development, which is within a stone's throw from paloremares road to 84. i used to thrash up and down there in my C2 and GT3. but not as much lately. i also ride my bike up and down there too. there are now CHP up there. i have seen them many times. but yeah, that's one hell of a great test drive route!

Count me in. Funny, I was driving home in my Cayman on 580 Altimont on Sunday and a Ferarri group was heading home. It was a group of about 15 car--some of the passengers in the group were taking pictures of the Cayman as I ran with them for a few miles. Not everyday you get props from drivers in 360 Modena's and F430's!
