all -
i've asked recently about what kind of Z7 events you would be interested in - thanks for the response, and keep those ideas a'comin'! please feel free to chime in here if you have not already -
Z7 encompasses N.CA as well as N.NV, and i'll be listing events for the whole region. you do not need to be in the PCA to Meet&Greet with your Zone. please list where you are if not in the Oakland/SF/San Jose area - i'd like to have some events for everyone, but to do that i'll need some info!
now... to the meat of this post: please join the Zone 7 Group!
our fearless leader Ken has added a new option to help Zone Coordinators (yours truly) get in touch with you (party people!) by giving us an easily accessible list of active members interested in events. i'll also be able to send out e-Mails to everyone at once - yay technology. please help and add yourself to our Zone Group, and i in-turn will be able to organize events more efficiently.
super easy, and just a few clicks away:
User CP > Miscellaneous > Group Memberships > Join Zone 7 Group
1. click User CP (far left of blue navigation bar)
2. one in your user Control Panel, select Group Memberships under Misc.
3. join Zone 7 Group
thank you all!

just a reminder - if you have not signed up for the Zone 7 Group and are in Northern Nevada or Northern California, please do.
looks like our first event is the Alameda AX on Mar 15th and EuroSunday is on the 16th in the SF area.
i've been bouncing around a tour idea for a two day trip up to Lodi (wine tasting and visiting our Cayman friends up NE.) checked the PCA schedule for Z7 for events in that area and do not see much, so we're a little sol for the time being.
anyone out by Sacramento/Tahoe/NV have any ideas?
thnx all - and do please sign up for the Zone 7 Group -

Have you thought about some way to publicize Cayman Club and Zone 7 via the dealers? Seems to me with a little forethought, dealers ought to be delighted to tell new buyers about us.... Maybe something like a preprinted flier tucked into the owners manual, under a windshield wiper blade...
Mine didn't tell me...but that was last year. If we can hook 'em early I think it is to our advantage....
Can you get a registration list from DMV? I don't know if they make that public or not...or maybe if we preprint postcards with afixed stamps and ask the dealers to mail them to thier Cayman buyers....

I registered with Zone 7, I live in The Eastern Sierras, Mammoth Lakes, California (population 7,000) in Mono County 130 miles south of Tahoe. I'm lost where do I belong .
By the way , only three P cars in Mammoth Lakes, B Black Cayman (mine), Red 911Carrera Cab and a Arctic Silver 911 S. Like to Meet & Greet with the Zone, it gets lonely out here.
Mark - you are right where you belong, we'll figure out some sort of nearish Tahoe M&G...

As far as events in the Reno Tahow area, Sierra Nevada Region (SNR) is working on a "Porsches in the Park" event in the Minden area (about 15 minutes from South Lake) in late June. This is a PCA region event. THere will also be a Zone 7 PCA Concours event the weekend after Labor Day in the Minden area. These might be options to organize a Meet & Greet around. The Lake would be a great draw with lots of drives available. obviously, Sierra Foothill winery tour is always a winner as well. There iare also a couple of track events at Reno-Fernley (one is a Track Master program in May). Just a few thoughts for your consideration.

I would be interested in meet and greets or other events in the Reno, Tahoe or Minden areas, Its a nice 2-3 hour
(some) deserted back roads drive for me from Mammoth Lakes (CA).
Keep us updated, and thanks for the heads up Craig .

does a little weekend trip in June sound like something you would be into?
what dates, if any do not work for you?
June 21 is Alameda or Santa Rosa AX
June 28th is Parade
