The first Bay Area EuroSunday is now in the books. We had an amazing turnout of cars for our first ever event. Several Lamborghini Murcielagos, Ferrari F430s, a strong showing from Keith and Joe with the Bay Bimmers Group, a few Aston Martins including a right hand drive DB5, serial number 001 belonging to the BMW M5 Estate was also at the event. The Pantera Club made strong showing and everything else in between.
The drive after the event was the largest ever for a EuroSunday event. Winding its way through the foothills of the east bay to Lafayette for lunch. Some of the cars on the drive include a bran new F430 spider, multiple Vettes, Lotus 7, Viper, DB9 Volante, and many BMW’s and Audis. Because of the amount participants interested in the drives we will run two or three groups in order to keep the drives more manageable. We will also release the end destination so people that just want to meet everyone for lunch can do so.
The next EuroSunday Bay Area will be on the 3rd Sunday of the month 3/16/2008. We will confirm the event location and post it on the website and to the forums.
We would like to thank everyone who attended our first event and welcome any feedback on what we can do to make it better. Special thanks to Justin for offering to be one of the bay area leads for us. Also thanks to the Pantera Club, Babblers and Bay Bimmers.

euro500rally - For those of you who have been considering the event we are still taking applications for those who wish to attend. The event is open to ALL CARS AND MOTORCYCLES. We welcome all cars and bikes to participate as in all EuroSunday events. The euro 500 rally carries the spirit of the EuroSunday events as it is not just a drive it is an adventure with your friends and family.
Our second EuroSunday event in Sacramento was in the rain again. Despite the wet and windy conditions we still had a great turnout for the event. The Diehard enthusiasts truly showed themselves for this event as well as several new participants. Greg came out to the event in his Ferrari and Ron hitched a ride with Jon in a BMW wagon loaner car. Two 911 Turbo owners were new to the event and had a great time with everyone "talking cars" inside of Peet’s Coffee. Everyone spent their time drinking coffee and eating scones in Peet’s coffee while a brave few went outside to take pics and videos of the attending cars.
Unfortunately, the spectacular drive we had planned was rained out, but we will be saving this drive for when the weather gets better.

Reminders:
euro500rally – The deadline for the Euro 500 Rally is coming up fast. If you are interested in participating in the event we must have you application in ASAP!
For those who are worried about taking their cars on the event. We will have a chase truck for the event with spare parts, gas, and tow cables.
The first event for EuroSunday Fresno will be 4/6/08. There is no event this weekend.
Please make sure to check the website for all current info regarding the event.
EuroSunday’s main event for March has been changed to Saturday3/22/08.This change is because the original date of 3/23/08 is Easter Sunday (Larry Stiver's useless knowledge- Easter falls on the first Sunday following the first full moon that occurs on or after the day of the vernal equinox; the vernal equinox is fixed as March 21. There are some highly technical rules for determining the actual date of the full moon, but when you take all this into account the result is that Easter can never occur before March 22 or later than April 25 and will not be celebrated this early in the year for another 20 years)
All the usual EuroSunday event activities will be taking place (including the Breakfast Club) and at the usual times, but all will happen on 3/22/08 at the Pavilions in Sacramento instead. Hopefully the weather will be as perfect as it has been the last few days and we will have a great spring showing.
EuroSunday Plus on Sunday March 9th at the Pavilions - This month's featured marquee is Citroen and Vespa. The Citroen group has been busy pulling its club members from Washington to Southern California, A&S is rounding up the local Royal Bastards Scooter Club, and a few folks are working on the Burgundy Topz vintage Vespa group to have to attend this month's Plus event. Not only do I tip my hat to everyone's effort, but must also acknowledge that this marquee will be one of my favorites for the year. FYI - Plus has quickly grown to exceed the numbers of our usual EuroSunday events. Please be aware of this and arrive early! The featured marquee will be corralled up front and all else will be pushed back in the parking lot.
Euro 500 Rally - We've heard that the reason for so many late registrations has been because of the time it takes to complete the application, and/or not sure of the weather for April. This is where some of you are saying "YEAH! finally...they get me" and others are snorting saying "Come On!" Here is how we'll take care of both of these issues;1.We'll have EuroSunday volunteers on hand to take pics of your car, take your info (drivers license, insurance info), take your deposit check of $145 made payable to Euro 500 Rally, LLC and help you complete the application...all in under 7 minutes!2.For April's weather we'll guarantee that there will be some. We will even put it in writing and sign it "There will be weather during this rally - guaranteed" This is the EuroSunday crowd - "Driven to Drive"!! Tim Taylor and Adam Cook are busy monitoring the rally's main route and in remote chance of snow, they have alternate routes mapped out already. They will be testing all routes in the next few weeks. This rally is to enjoy the drive and the company. EuroSunday Plus and EuroSunday (on Saturday) will be the only two times you can sign up for this event! Registration closes for this event on Easter Sunday. euro 500 rally: A weekend of fun friends and the open road

Well, the first EuroSunday Fresno is now in the books. The day started off at 6:30 a.m. with a few diehards meeting up for the breakfast club. A Triumph, Pantera, and a BMW M3 made up the early morning car caravan to Bentley’s Fresh Market after some fun conversations about EuroSunday and other car related topics.
Upon arriving at Bentley’s we were given 25 parking spots, with know one knowing what to expect. The 25 designated spots were gone in a matter of minutes, due to the wonderful turn out. The limited parking lead to some interesting parking issues as we had to park the cars in a fashion differently than the traditional EuroSunday format, but we made it work. The traditional EuroSunday format consists of having the exotic, rare, and vintage cars showcased up front. Instead we had a inter mingling of cars parking together which still turned out to be a great mix of different marquees and models.
The cars that showed were absolutely amazing. A few members of the British car club were out in their stunning E type Jags, several Aston Martin’s, Lotus Elise’s, and a beautiful collection of other British makes. The Ford GT and Vipers showed up in force to the event along with multiple Ferraris. The amazing Ferrari turn out ranged from F430’s, F360’s, and 308’s just to name a few. A group from San Jose showed up just in time for the drive in their F360, Testarossa, and 308. Several BMW’s and VW’s were in attendance and we had a great showing by the local NSX guys. A Lamborghini Murcielago snuck in later at the event along with a few Porsches and a great variety of other Euro makes. We counted about 100 cars on the days tally for the show part of the EuroSunday event.
The drive after the event had a wonderful turn out, with about 30 cars going on the drive we weaved our way back through the hills behind Fresno. The group got a little thinned out, but everyone had a great time on some good roads. The after the event lunch at Daily Grill was the largest group ever for a EuroSunday event with about 50 people present, everyone chatted and had great conversation about the cars and the days event.
With the first event in the books and with such a wonderful turn out we look forward to seeing our new friends out at the next EuroSunday, and look forward to watching the continual growth among the new EuroSunday Fresno family.
EuroSunday features a car or bike to be the car/bike of the month. This month we chose Troy and his beautiful wide body 356 Porsche.
