Helmet Sale ?!? - Wine Country Motor Sports

call out to Z7 -
Helmet Sale ?!? - Wine Country Motor Sports

not sure if these are the usual Wine Country Motor Sports prices or not, but after poking around the internet a bit, they look pretty good/sale to me. helmets are pricey, but you will likely be able to use your helmet until 2015. neat.
this weekend i will be looking into a Bell M-4 Snell05 closed face helmet for AX this year and hopefully track/AX the next.

new Cayman Clubers, if you are thinking about AutoX this year (and i know you are) this would be a great time for helmet shopping, as well as joining the PCA. Wine Country Motor Sports looks like it has a great selection - and better yet, you try the helmets on, so no internet size guessing. this whole "gearing up" thing is pretty exciting!

what is this Zone 7 thing anyway? the Porsche Club of America Z7 site has info on our local AX/track regulations including a note about Helmets.

FYI - PCA offers online registration - which looks like $42/year in 2008. with AX runs ~$30 for a day. really, the prices cannot be beat for being able to whip your Porsche to the limit around a closed course with little to no chance of damage.

it is a great life, indeed.
anyone else gearing up or have any tips?

My new helmet just came in today. Definitely getting psyched for racing season. I ended up getting a Pyrotect Pro Airflow SA Series. Good price (Less then $250) and it is SA2005 rated. (Much beefier helmet than my old M rated Bell) I got the matte black version so I can look like a badass even though my driving is just plain bad.

went up to Wine Country Motorsports this weekend and bought Bell M4s for my husband and i. i did not realize the shop would be so close to the track... sweet.

Saturday was go-cart day at Infineon, who knew - those little suckers are LOUD.

in any case, the helmet sale is up on their website too. also seems PCA members always get 10% off, but some of the helmets are listed as 15% and 20%.

mine are being sent direct from Bell and should be arriving- this- Friday!
