Who is going this Saturday? Yea first of the year
Question what class will you be running the AX class or the Showroom Stock class? I was leaning to the SS class 6.

Hey busman - How are you? I still haven't decided if I'm going to run the AX - if I do, I'll have track tires on the car since I'm running at Laguna Seca with the Coastal Driving School folks the following Wed., the 19th, and the classing site put me in AX 10 with the track tires on the car. If I come up and run on street tires, I'll run in SS06, just like at Parade. I'm really glad they added the SS classes.

Fort - You'll have a great time if you go... there should be instructors there help you find your way through the first time...to find out your AX class, go back to the "classing" site and take a look at your entry... there should also be a notation as to your AX class, which will be different from the Time Trial (TT) class... If you haven't "classed" your car on the Web since the addition of the Quaife, you should do so again - it will change your class, and any modification to the car that might change it's performance from what was driven off the showroom floor will DQ you from running showroom stock...

Yep - I have the Quaife in there. I'm AX10 and TT10. Also, I need an instructor, and pay with beer. Any volunteers? Brad?

Technically, that is true, if it's not OEM, it's not showroom stock... even aftermarket pedals knock you out of the class, if you're playing by the rules 100%

They'll assign an instructor to you after the driver's meeting in the morning - if I'm there, I'll be happy to be your instructor.

I'm planning on attending. First time in many years!

Changed to 17"s w/ street tires today just for the occasion (don't want to race on the 19"s)

Question about my hat. It has snell sa90 rating, 10/94 build date. Is it good? Can I use it?

Oh yeah, I guess I have to spend some time to figure out what class I'm in (thanks for the links).
Thanks in advance,

Jason - your helmet has to be SA2000 or M2000 or newer... a 12 year-old helmet should be tossed so no one thinks it's safe to use.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll need a loaner.

I'm used to the full open face. Any problems getting another one? Eventually I'm going to want to do some track days too. Will having an open face be okay for that too?
