I've never been there either and the parking lot at GGB sounds like a good spot. I assume that it's gonna take us about 45 mins to get up there from the bridge so would 7am be a good time to meet?
Also, do you guys know anyone from the babbler side that are going? i thought i saw jderian posting something over there...
see PM for further plans. anyone else want to join, PM me for details.
thnx!

I'm planning on going to the event (will meet y'all there since I'm going across the San Rafael bridge). I went once last year and recall they start later than GGR. I think they start at 10am instead of 9am. You may want to confirm this with the organizer. Their website does not list an official start time. If anyone gets a response, please post it. Otherwise, you may want to arrive in time for a 9am start just in case.

I thought I'd post my impressions of the auto-x.
First of all, I had a great time. The course was well laid out and pretty easy to follow. No sea of cones here! There were three or four central mounds with roads all around. The course was fun and challenging. There was even one area where there was a roughly "S" shaped cut through one of the central mounds! From the pit area you could barely see the tops of the cars as they ran through this area! The weather held out again, the course was wet in the morning, but dried out, and the temp. was mostly comfortable.
Average times were in the 40 second range. The start/first run group took forever to get going because of logistics. The organizers (who did a great job) did not expect to see
