buying a Cayman S in BayArea

Hi All,

I am a newbie in the market for Cayman S.

Can someone please let me know what is the "fair" out of the door for a Basic 6speed Cayman? (prefer white ext. color)

I do like the Carrera S and/or Turbo wheel.. not sure if it's a worthy option

Please advise. Thanks!

-j.

New?
Used?
Dealer?
Private owner?
Options?
Miles?

The devil is in those details. Take a look at Edmunds.com once you have a car picked out. You can find a starting point there.

I think if you follow some of the threads here you'll find very good thinks said about Carlsen and Stevens Creek (where I bought mine). If you go to Stevens Creek, ask for Tom McAfee....(He'll remember me as they guy who's teenaged son drove the car for a test drive and then drove it home for me...not many folks are that brave [stupid?]) I got my CS for about $5K below MSRP...don't know how things may have changed in the past year.

Cheers

Bob

I picked up my '08 CS last month at Fremont Porsche for 12% off MSRP, or 2% over invoice. I was back there just yesterday for a complimentary car wash and notice that they still have loads of CSs on the lot. Speak with Terry Toledo... he treated me well and prepped all the paperwork before I went in. Financing was 4.75% APR.

The best is for you to search existing inventory from the Porsche website. Once you find a configuration you're interested in, price out the options at edmunds.com so you get an idea of dealer invoice. Then call up internet sales managers and negotiate as a percentage premium over invoice. Given that Porsche sales have been tanking the past few months, you should be able to get a great deal at the moment. Good luck!

Best priced offered lately

Seeking base CS with minimum options ie Bi-Xenon/Auto-Climate control in Meteor Grey or Arctic Silver . I realize this will get more difficult as current inventory gets depleted and 09' starts production. Will be checking the local dealers: Stevenscreek, Carlsen, Fremont, Rector. Anyone want to chime in with the purchasing experience? TIA

That is a great deal. Equal this deal and you will be happy.
