In Mountain View, at the Chevron at Shoreline and Middlefield, I traded thumbs up with the affable driver of a yellow Cayman with Carrera S wheels and no model designation. A nice, clean look — beautiful car!
It reminded me that, as I did with my Boxster, I should remove the model badge from my CS.

I saw on Santana Row today...second time I have seen the Artic Silver one...the other is Midnight Blue. I went for months without seeing any, and in one day, two appear. The Midnight Blue was stock with the 18" wheels and tan interior...the Artic Silver is clearly modded, with 19" wheels, not sure what kind, and a tubi exhaust. Both were nice cars!
I'm lovin' the "no model designation" look of my CS. Such an understated little monster! The Porsche crests are designation enough for me. I'm getting lots of positive feedback on the Meteor Gray color. Truthfully, it's hard to tell it from Seal Gray unless they are parked next to each other. In other news: Another "coastsider" friend, Jay, has taken possession of a beautiful dark green metalic (mucho rare) CS with natural brown full leather. Need I say, "Very nice combination". When the sun hits it, it looks like an Emerald! Nice goin', Jay!
Saw an arrtic silver parked at Milpitas square lunchtime yesterday. The same color I have ordered for my cs for Feb. delivery. Just got a glimpse of it as we drove by. It’s only the 3rd Cayman I have sighted since I set my eyes on the car two months ago. .
I saw a midnight blue CS on Stevens Creek Blvd in San Jose last night...still seeing the Artic Silver around Santana Row...I think he or she may live there.

Hi, screebo. Please get Jay to post photos of his CS, or post some for him!
As for greys... I recently happened by a Porsche in Meteor Grey at a dealership (I think it was a CS.) It got my attention and I correctly identified the color. I took a good look at it and quickly saw it's deep brown and green cast. Very different from Seal Grey to my eye! I find Seal Grey to have a subtle blue cast by comparison, which makes it seem more neutral in daylight. Anyway, they're both beautiful colors on the Cayman.
Regards,

Tonight on 580 W, I spotted a black or dark blue Cayman S with stock exhaust. We were on the same stretch of road for several miles, in and out of sight in traffic. They got off a few exits before 13 to Berkeley. About two miles before that, they passed me from behind, so I wondered if they noticed my Tubi exhaust.
This was the first time I got to see a Cayman at speed for any length of time; very cool looking! Quite tough and low slung.
