Sounds like a blast!

Other things to do around that area -
1) Mono Lake - if you're familiar with Ansel Adams, you've seen pictures of Mono Lake
2) Bodie - ghost town
3) Bridgeport - small charming town
4) Tuolomne Meadows via Tioga Pass is not too far away
5) across the valley and a bit of a trek - the bristlecone pines

Now to see whether I can block block off a 4 day weekend!

Mark,

As discussed, lots going for a Mammoth Weekend. Cooler temps, great scenery, good roads in a fun locale. Certainly has to be less "SMOKE" than we have in the Tahoe area from the CA fires - not sure I've seen it this bad in 13 years up here. Count ML and me in. We can help out as well.

Robaz,

If you you can make it from Phoenix, I'm sure there's a bunch of others (much closer) that can make it too. Looking forward to meeting you!

coming back either Sunday or Monday would be fine with me as well.

sounds like the start of a plan - who else is in for a Caymanavan?

Mark C.,

How've you been? Awesome itinerary! I totally want to go, but have a wedding on the 23rd. However, I'm in on your next trip! It looks like you all will have a great time!

Z 7, 8 and 9 Meet/Greet in Mammoth Lakes

We have a list going of those interested in a Meet/Greet and Scenic drive in the High Sierras, Mammoth Lakes, CA.

1. Mark C.
2. Captain Happy
3. grrlsix (SF)
4. Steve Walker (SF)
5. pointnshoot (SF)
6. Pobaz all the way from Arizona
7. jcbuschwacker

Please add your name with level of interest. Check the itinerary above for lodging and full details. Remember to bring your camera, bathing suit, hiking shoes, fishing pole, back pack, sun screen and mountain bike or just your Cayman and your Porsche enthusiasm.

Mammoth Lakes is known for its cool temps (highs, mid 80o lows mid 40o), great scenery, world renowned mountain biking, scenic roads and a fun location.

For those arriving Friday night, lets plan on a mixer/meet at The Westin restaurant/bar.

grrlsix and others coming through Yosemite... WOW the roads and scenery, breathtaking and inspiring you will be in awe (this alone is worth the trip to Mammoth).

Robaz is coming from Arizona, I'm sure we can get some So Cal C.C. members to join in.

Fresh air, the mountains, Caymans = no stress.

Any questions/comments or ideas please PM me.

Mark C.
