Finally decided to committ to going to the Zone AX at Marina next weekend. Any one else planning on going? Any suggestions on places to stay in the area - planning on going to the aquarium, etc.

Work committments have me busy on 8/2 . The Aquarium is really cool + good seafood in the area. Maybe see you and ML down here 8/9.
Directions Marina is within 10 miles of Pacific Grove, the Monterey Aquarium, and Laguna Seca. With no traffic, it is about 2 hours from the heart of the Bay Area. Take Highway 1 south of Castroville toward Laguna Seca Raceway and Monterey. Take the Reservation Road exit south toward Marina. After one short block, turn right in order to stay on Reservation Road. Follow the road through Marina and approximately two miles south of town. Turn left at signal into Marina Airfield. Turn right after the first large building on the right and follow the cones to the autocross site. You will be stopped prior to entering the site and asked to sign a release. This is an operating airport, and they have very specific rules on where you can drive, and not drive. Please follow the instructions exactly, even if you are directed to drive across dirt, when there is a paved road nearby. The paved area is a taxiway, and forbidden to automobile traffic. Failure to obey these rules could cost us the use of this site.
hopefully going down for Marina AX both days - anyone have any hints/advice for a good place to stay over that Saturday evening?

LOL! I was 1st in my class, but I got smoked by a couple of bone stock Caymans, including Greg Adams. So far, the biggest benefit I've seen to modding my car is to get out of the classes where all the fast drivers are! But thanks, anyway. I don't know if my son will be there next Saturday, but I look forward to seeing you again.
grrlsix - What do you have in mind? We are planning on driving down on sat morning, and staying overnight. Do you want to drive do the one together? Do not know if we wil go Sunday, may have to take the wife shopping :-) ..
