HWY 1 SunRise Drive

Knowing how the roads would be very empty, I got up early this morning, 6:00am, and took a drive down to HMB via HWY92, to HWY1, and then down south to Santa Cruz, turned around, headead back home.

It was picture perfect, but on my rush to get out, left the camera home.

What a morning!

Instead of 92 take Woodside Road next time, more fun than 92. It was a crystal clear day must have been nice.

That's a great drive. Done it myself several times. Next time you go, take the camera but also return via Hwy 9 instead of coming back the way you went. Heading North on Hwy 9 from Santa Cruz, once you get past the town of Boulder creek, there is an incredible 15 mile stretch of uphill 2nd and 3rd gear corners, and at the end you just make a left onto Skyline blvd (CA Hwy 35) and head North through more great turns (4th gear) until you can stop for a nice brunch at Alice's restaraunt at the intersection of Skyline and La Honda. No better way to spend a morning.
