I went last weekend when they had it here in the San Francisco area. It was a blast! (Of course, my opinion may be biased by the fact that I posted the fastest overall time of the weekend in the Chevy Cobalt and won the Piloti Hot Shoe award

). Even if you are not a die-hard autocrosser, there is plenty to see and do. They had the Camaro concept car, the C6R ALMS corvette, and a few NASCAR vehicles on display. You could drive as many "practice" laps in either a Chevy Cobalt, a supercharged Cobalt, or a C6 Corvette as you wanted on a 20 sec auto-x course. For additional fees, you could go karting or go for a ride in a Z06 with a professional driver. The event is very well organized. The actual competition format was pretty cool with everyone getting 2 laps on a 27 sec auto-x course in a Cobalt and the top 10 drivers of each day returning in the evening for a shootout in C6 Corvettes on the same course, but at night/under the lights. It was a true test of driving talent going from low-powered front wheel drive cars to high powered rear-wheel drive cars. If you are thinking of going, but haven't yet registered, make sure there is still space available before you go (the event fills up pretty fast).
