M----Will check and post tomorrow am. The entire business part of town is only 3 blocks square so not hard to find station. I THINK the price was about $6.70/gal. 91 octane was $3.59 so it is a high-rent district!
And at the west end of town is the Rancho Santa Fe resort with an official croquet court which you can only go on if you are wearing proper croquet apparel. (At least it was there when I was there a few years ago.)

What, exactly, is proper croquet attire? Do they play lawn darts there, also?
Robert---The "resort" you mention is properly called "The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe" please. I'll check on the croquet tomorrow when I get the address of the station. Actually, The Inn, my morning coffee place, and the gas station are all within a couple of blocks of one another and I sit at one of the two sidewalk tables, while admiring all the Quatroportes, Bently GTs, etc. Also, all the real estate offices seem to be in competition for the best looking office assistant and of course they all need to go for coffee! (I live in Encinitas which is 6 miles and another world away.) If I can't park right in front I don't stop but nobody pays any attention except me. A Porsche up there is very ho-hum.

Inn at Rancho Santa Fe -- that's the name. Couldn't think of it. It's also fun to walk past the real estate offices and look at the prices on the houses. GACK!!!
"Rancho Santa Fe VP Racing Fuels" !?! That's it, no other branding involved. Looks like any small gas station with two mechanic's bays, some convenience items, and extra-nice landscaping. 6089 La Fecha. 858 756-2929. 100 octane is $7/gal today. (at the pump, not 50 gal barrels only or something)
re croquet at The Inn, they will set it up on request of a guest. Being San Diego area, no dress code.
So, what a trip! Nice lodge with croquet (don't immagine rooms are terribly expensive), the Positano Coffee place 150 yards down the beautiful main street (Tim buys beans green on the commodities mkt and roasts them himself), 3-4 restaurants varrying from reasonable to oh-my-god, and 100 octane all within an easy drunken stumble. And only accessible by great roads, but with a little too much traffic.
Not a bad price for pump 100. Last I checked it was close to $8/gal off the 5 on La Paz, and a little over $7 off the 15 in Norco on 2nd. My Evo loves it =)
The Inn is one of my customers, I supervise the computer systems there. Yes, unless it's a GTx a Porsche is pretty common, not many Caymans yet. Some sweet rides show up there, and the Milfbucks down the road is great for coffee and eye candy =)

Hi Mr Pollard----sorry for delayed reply; been in Great Bridge, VA for a week. (where a major feature is The Great Bridge Bridge)
Yes, correct neighborhood. The Inn is lower right. The coffee place is just in front of the lone white car on Paseo Delicias between Via de Santa Fe and La Granada. The Gas station is virtually dead center in the picture.
